A one month journal

 This blog seems to be in a perpetual state of starting. Write a post, then wait a few years, and poof! I'm back. Starting again.

A couple of my besties suggested that I use a blog format to write about the trip I have coming up-- so that people who are interested can follow along as I launch myself 10,600 miles from home. 

This post is a test. Tomorrow, too, will be a test.  Let's see if I can stick with it. If I do, you'll have gotten an email from me inviting you to read as your schedule allows. If my test doesn't work, and I don't come back. Well then, I'll find it a few years from now and laugh with great gusto at my folly in thinking I would follow through on a regular writing schedule.
