Phew, it's far!

 This is the map that Travelocity sent me when I hit the button that said: BUY NOW.

LAX → JFK, 5 hours 23 min

JFK → Nairobi, 13 hours 30 min

Nairobi → Lilongwe, 2 hours 15 min

The total travel time is listed as 27 hours and change.  I leave LA on 11/7 at 11:30PM and arrive in Malawi at 1:30pm on 11/9.

I'm not sure how I'm getting to LA yet. I may take a puddle jumper (with the cost of gas, it may be cheaper!), and for sure, it's faster. We'll see.
