20 year PARTY!
Here are some photo highlights:
Dikamawoko Cultural Dance Troupe performed a series of traditional dances and drumming
Jeanine Jackson, Former US Ambassador to Malawi (also an AGE Africa Board member) spoke on behalf of the board
Justice Emse Jynet Chombo, Current Malawi Ambassador to the US (also a board member) provided inspiring words to the girls in attendance
Cihpat Jim received funding from AGE Africa from high school through university. She is now a DOCTOR! This fact would not be true were it not for the support she received. She shared words of inspiration for the girls currently in secondary school.
Lignet Mphaya is currently at University under an AGE Africa scholarship. She is the first in her village to go to college. She shared some very personal experiences that would have kept any of us out of school. However through perseverance and support she returned to school. She spoke to express her gratitude.
Ellen Makhambela is currently a student at Malawi University of Science and Techonology. She wrote and shared a poem about the power of AGE Africa and how it gives girls wings.
And of course we had fun!
